Number one E5 fans
I just wanted to send a special thank you to Nathan and Andrew two of my number one Louisville Cardinal fans. Nathan and Andrew sent me this special poster that they put together, to let me know that they are true Cardinal and E5 fans. So from me and on behalf of my team mates, we thank you for your support and the energy that you guys bring to each game. Keep up the good work.

WHAT'S HAPPENING E-5? THIS IS STAFF SERGEANT CLAY...UNITED STATES MARINE CORPS. I'M CURRENTLY STATIONED ON OKINAWA JAPAN. I AM A WAR VETERAN. I JUST WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT I'M A BIG TIME LOUISVILLE FAN. I KNEW YOU HAD GAME WHEN I SAW YOU IN THE MCDONALD'S CLASSIC YOUR SENIOR YEAR. I WANT YOU TO PERSONALLY KNOW THAT YOU ARE A TRUE LEADER. WE AS MARINES STRIVE TO HAVE LEADERSHIP AND DISCIPLINE. WE PROTECT THE UNITED STATES SIMPLY BECAUSE OF HEART AND SOUND LEADERSHIP. I WAS A DRILL INSTRUCTOR AT PARRIS ISLAND THE LAST 3 YEARS. I DIDN'T REALIZE THE IMPACT THAT I HAD ON THE YOUNG MEN THAT CAME TO BOOTCAMP UNTIL I SAW THEM STEPPING UP TO THE PLATE TAKING CHARGE AND TAKING INITIATIVE IN HOSTILE SITUATIONS. I WAS HARD ON THEM NO DOUBT BUT IT WAS FOR A PURPOSE. YOU ON THE OTHER HAND EFFECT LIVES BY BEING AN INSPIRATION TO YOUNG MEN. YOU DID IT WITH HARD WORK AND DEDICATION. YOU ARE STILL WORKING HARD. AND IT WILL PAY OFF COME DRAFT DAY WHEN YOU DECIDE TO ENTER YOUR NAME. BUT JUST KNOW THAT I SALUTE YOU. I'M FROM NEW YORK ORIGINALLY BUT I MOVED TO LEXINGTON AS A TEENAGER. BUT I HAVE BEEN A CARDS FAN MY WHOLE ENTIRE LIFE. THANKS TO THE LORD I WILL BE COMING HOME THIS X-MAS TO BE WITH MY FAMILY. I'M GONNA DO ALL THAT I CAN TO GET TO THE GAME ON THE 5TH OF JAN. I think it is so sweet that you have this blog to keep in touch with those students! It's great to have people like you as part of the University of Louisville! I'll be there cheering you on this weekend in indy! Good luck and keep working hard!

Hey Earl. Thanks for putting Nathan and Andrew's pic on your blog. They thought they were big stuff when they saw it. The fact it was copied into the article in the Courier-Journal really made them happy. Unfortunately, the paper made it seem like they were part of the NJ class rather than two local kids from Louisville. No big deal, they were still proud.
Keep up the good work you are doing and keep being a wonderful role model for all the youngsters. Our whole family supports you and the Cards. We love you guys.
